27/10/07 - It was freezing last night, slept in socks, trousers, jumper, inside a sleeping bag liner and under a sheet and blanket apparently it reached 4 degrees during the night. I thought oz was supposed to be hot. Went and have a look at the surf and it was pretty choppy as it was proper windy. Anyways got picked up at 11.30 for our "wine for dudes" tour, how exciting. We got to make our own wine (well mix two wines together using different amounts)...

26/10/07 - Arrived at a random camp site late last night after sneaking through the gate without paying and joined some other Wicked Campers. Your not supposed to drive at night in Oz as you have more chance of hitting kangeroos but hadn't seen any let alone hit any and as the sticker says on our dash board down swerve for kangeroos run the f#%*#%s down. Thursday 25th October - Up bright and early for the bus to Perth and to pick up our much anticpated Wicked Campervan. Our home for the next 3 weeks or so we thought. "Sorry sir you can't take the van from perth to Canberra and back to Adelaide in 3 weeks", WHAT!!! thats what we booked on the phone. After a bit while we settled on 4 weeks and we had to drop it off in Melbourne ah well thats not too bad, just totally ruins our plans for a red centre trip ...

12/10/07 - We left the Globe Trotters and headed to the work study centre to do a little orientation for our dolphin volunteer program which was nice and easy. Arriving in Perth at just after midnight on the 10th October we had a bit of a shock, we left sunny Singapore in 30 degree heat and arrived here in oz in 9 degrees it was freezing and neither of us were prepared for cold weather with our t-shirts and shorts on. Checked in to our hostel and spent the night shivering as we didin't want to wake everyone up by turning the light on and searching through our bags for more clothes.
