Instead of heading back to Nairobi for our last evening, it seemed that all of us wanted to prolong reality for as long as possible and after a mornings game drive of leopard spotting (with no success) we had coffee in a very plush lodge (Rupert felt much more at home here, with the neat colonial gardens, beautiful swimming pools, views to take your breath away and 5* service) and then headed back to Naivasha. After being woken by the Egyptian Geese (so much for s bloody lie in), we had a leisurely breakie and then took a boat safari to track down more hippos and many birds along with stunning views of the surrounding volcanic landscape.
