A large Bloody Mary, beautiful happy people with frangipanis in their hair and mountainous views - we have made it to Hawaii! The island views as the aeroplane descends are stunning and I have a feeling we will be back to explore the area within the next few years, but for now we are on route to meet the soon to be Mr and Mrs Wright to help them celebrate their dream Las Vegas nuptials!
I have limited expectations about Vegas, never been one on the top of my list to be honest but I feel lucky that these occasions present themselves and we find ourselves visiting locations we never would have chosen otherwise. I also feel honoured that after only 3 years living somewhere new Tim and I have been invited to share in such a special occasion with two very good friends, so thank you Kelly and Paul for sharing this with us.
So why wasn't Vegas on my top places to visit, well I gamble for about 5 minutes before I get bored, find it really difficult to part with a large amount of cash (I think it's the Welsh side coming out) and the thought of dressing up all glamorous every evening fills me with dread - give me an African sunset and comfy clothes any day!! However, I am going to embrace this - mani, pedi & shellac done, packed already are a different pair of heels for each evening, I find myself with fake hair in my backpack (not sure what I am going to do with it) and I have every dress I own plus a couple of borrowed in a hand held suit bag!! Glam squad here I come! Tim has also made me already part with $500 so that we have a kitty that we can 'afford' to lose or more to the point I think are 'assuming' we will lose! He is in charge of the kitty (I am the worlds worst gambler!).
The Bloody Mary's are going down well and the World Cup is on the TV (although three Japanese sat next to us took great delight in telling Tim the Uruguay score and that England are out) so I'm leaving it here - next stop....... Vegas Baby!!!!!!
