Up at the Routeburn Falls hut, we stopped in to eat our lunch before we continued up the trail. We spoke with the warden, "Warden John", and he invited us to his quarters to have lunch together. On the chair to the left he had an iPod and speakers, and we rocked out to his tunes while chatting about everything from New Zealand to American politics. It was a great stop, and we made an unexpected friend.
