Halfway through the trip, a lady in another boat tossed two big bags onto our boat. About 30 minutes later, the lady rowing our boat pulled over and began trying to sell us tablecloths, pillow cases, etc. Turns out, they are known for embroidery in Ninh Binh. Talk about a captive audience. We said no plenty of times, but we figured she worked pretty hard rowing us and she doesn't get paid much, so we bought a pity table cloth.
