We met Mal(colm) and Kathy on the trail in Buller Gorge. We chatted for a while until the rain got the best of us. Mal was a hoot, and he shared all kinds of stories about his travels ranging from an impromptu physical therapy session in Indonesia to violence in South Africa and the British take on the revolutionary war.
