It has been a month since we have been home and even though I haven't quite finished adding all the photo's I think it is time to reflect on our holiday.
Phuket was interesting but it isn't a place I would keep going back to for a holiday, the weather was great and I felt safe walking around. the hotel we stayed at, the staff were friendly and rooms were clean.
The Wedding day went well even though it rained but at least it had eased up to a light drizzle around the time of the ceremony, the baby elephant to greet the guests was a hit and both Tania and Darren were happy and relaxed, overall it was a great day.
The plane trip from Singapore to New York was long and tiring, but once on the ground and booked into the hotel all tiredness disappeared,
New York definately lives up to its reputation of a city that never sleeps and you can just feel the buzz of the place, we had a bucket list of things we wanted to see and do and we acheived every one of them, and it is hard to put a finger on my favourite but I think overall it was Central Park and I think that was because you get so used of the noise and rush of the city, once you enter the park, calm is all around you. and you just seem to take a deep breath and relax, but in saying that, I loved every experience, the food and restaraunts we went to, the shopping was awesome, my least favourite was the subway system, the trains themselves were clean and efficient but I found it very confusing to find out what trains to take and you were never to sure if you were on the right one.
When we left New York I was convinced that, now that I had been I probably wouldn't want to go again, but now on reflection, I would go back in a heartbeat.
