Looks like IT at work have managed to allow access to everything. It won't last, so I'll try and make the most of it. Well, come on, if I can't read yopur blogs at work, when can I read 'em?
Sounds like your having a great time. Obvoiusly for SPIE Matthew Hall and HR it's just one big party (ahem, perhaps not). You'll be surpirsesd to hear the football team have won promotion and are in a SPIE tournament in May, in France (oui, oui, it's true!). Lots of people are still asking after you (correction, they're saying "if only Beth was still in HR"). You've got fans girl!
Keep having fun and I'll catch up with you soon. Now for 30mins looking at the photos (it's a hard life!)

You weren't that impressed with Auckland City?! Did you go out to the West Coast beaches?? Or get in touch with my dad about going sailing on the Auckland Harbour or Hauraki Gulf? Tell me you at least went up Mt Eden or One Tree Hill and look around. Not that impressive? Bah! Humbug!

Hi Beth, just read your latest, it's definitely travel guide stuff, I look forward to the book, or the film. I was in town the other day so I took the opportunity to drop into the Trinity and meet up with Roger and Geraldine for lunch, wet of course!
They're not a happy bunch these days but they did cheer up as they were telling me about your leaving pressie!!
I was in town to stand in the street for 4 hours queueing for a last minute Chinese visa to visit Shanghai. Interesting place, it looks like a playground for architects and every conceivable style of skyscraper, fantastic. The pollution lets it down though, visibility was never more than about half a mile the whole week I was there.
Got to opportunity to eat tiny whole deep fried baby duckling, head, wings and feet included, opportunity declined...and I never saw a single cat or dog in the whole time I was there?
Looking forward to hearing about NZ, it's a place I absolutely must get to soon...did you know NZ has the highest number of private aircraft ownership per capita than any other country in the world.....paradise.
Have fun.
Fran
Ohhhhhhh i like the idea of dancing all day and with men with fit bodies, Rio here i come. Sounds fab. We british can be so conservative, lets have a street party -do u think Boston would cope ? perhaps not

Wow!! Rio sounds fantastic, maybe I'll drop in there next week after I've won the £95 million in the Euro Lottery. Note to self to buy a ticket.
When are you going to censor the photo's and get some posted on the blog?
Have fun, if you get to see the penguins hug one for me and tell him I'm sorry for my part in melting his Ice floe. Cars and Bar-B-Q's!!
Sarah

Hi Beth,
Tell you what, I know you've had a few adventures already, but getting my PC to work so that I can send you a message has been a real adventure for me too!
Sounds like you're having a fab time already. Wish I was there too (I could do with some r & r!). Work's been the usual, so you haven't missed much. We've had in a couple of temps, from your's truly, and they've disappeared faster than Jodie on speed!
Rachel and Hannah both have settled in well and sadly Caroline is off soon to NZ. She is coming back in about 3 months, which is arelief. Tell you what, just give me the nod and I'll get you your old job back immediately for your return, plus an extra 50 grand a year and your own office!
(OK, OK, it was the office that blew it, wasn't it?).
Listen, keep the blogs up, now that I've cracked this thing and I'll keep up with the updates at SMH.
Take care and hear form you soon.
Ken
Hi Beth,
Excellent progress so far, well done! Been settling in to the new job so this is the first chance I've had to view the site and contact you. Lots of travel notched up or lined up: Denmark, Czech Republic, China and the US to date.
Things are just going in to the unsettled, post sale period you'll remember fondly from SMH. Good news is I don't feel like the new boy any more as everyone is just as confused as me now!! Bonus.
As far as UK news goes....more pointless violent crime, more corrupt politicians fiddling expenses, more tax rises, more fare increases and McDonalds are now licensed to award 'O' Levels! Not a lot different to the norm really.
Please try not to miss work tooooo much and I look forward to hearing more soon.
