We took a train to Turnov, about 2 hours from Prague. We thought the hiking would be a major tourist attraction here, but it turned out to be a sleepy town with no one who spoke English. We managed to get a trail map and ended up with a nice relaxing walk through the countryside so it worked out. Not quite on the grand scale as in Switzerland though.
