Hello everone,
Thanks for all the messages its great to hear from you all. We are staying a a backpackers called Gilligans and its great we are sharing with some realy nice people and have made some good friends. As you can see we have brought a car and its a beast! I went out fishing the other day but the only thing that i caught was the sun! but sore a few crocs which was good. We also played golf yesterday with a couple of others that we have met and that was funny i thought that we were going to get chucked off but we were alright and it was a good day.
We will be leaving Cairns on sunday and heading back to sydney But we already have quite a bit for the house,we found a garage sale the other day on our travels and got a load of camping things today(so i may not be a family on tour but i may be camping here) which has lots of kitchen things.

What a couple of handsome specimens! The car looks good too; is it kangaroo-proof? I'm really interested to know how much it cost and how many miles it has done already?!!
I expect that Michael told you that I am in a holiday- mood myself, Ben, because I have finished OFSTED. It's such a relief!
When you get a chance we would absolutely love to hear how you spend your days; where you stay, the people you meet and what you eat. It's probably asking too much, but when you get back it will be fun for you to read as well.
I can't believe that your Mum and Dad will be joining you soon, Ben. I have to say I feel very envious.
You have quite a challenge awaiting you in Sydney - furnishing a house! I remember Michael telling us about the second-hand furniture depots!

Hey B, Really good to see some photo's! The views look beautiful, feeling very jealous BUT....... hopefully I will be coming over to see you soon! I have got three weeks off coming up soon, which i am counting down too. Joe had his graduation on tues which went really well although it was so hot here. I am going home on fri to see M & D, I said that I would cook fajitas for mum. Look forward to seeing more photos and info from you soon. I hope you are having a brilliant time. lots of love Jen xx

I've just come in from a governors meeting which was on the back of a twilight meeting with the staff so it has been quite a day. At least it is cooler so it should be easier to sleep. Your Dad has been in the garden today because golf was cancelled due to a thunderstorm. Tomorrow he has the sportsmans dinner which as you know should be great fun!

Just been down to A Mary's looking at photos of your leaving lunch. It was good to see your face and like everyone we're looking forward to seeing the photos of you in the sunshine!
Still very hot here this evening but looks like we may get a storm before long. Chris had a Yr5 Science day at St Peter's which he loved. Unfortunately his singing exam was this afternoon so I had to collect him early but at least he had a taste. He missed the dissection of the heart which he was quite upset about but did get to see the Chemistry explosion. He's off to Wales on an activity break on Weds so I'm busy getting kit together. Naming underpants doesn't thrill me one bit!!!!
Ian is counting down the days 'til Zante and generally hanging out at the Stratford Park outdoor pool! nice life if you can get it!(he can name his own underpants!)
We've got our PTA caribbean evening on Saturday so there's loads to do for that - let's hope the good weather holds out.

Hi Ben Sounds like its been all action since you've arrived! Hope you enjoy Cairns and the trip back down.It's absolutely stiffling here. Moved Steve on Saturday, they all survived the heat and the two flights of stairs! Matthew finding it warm in the three storey house and is dehydrated. So hot again today - they may even come and stay at Scarhill tonight! Had an email from Nicky in New York - boiing there too! We were all gutted too about the football, but knew as soon as extra time was over we had lost !! Would'nt want to be Ronaldo at Old Trafford next season!
