finally got on our plane and arrived in fiji where we were serenaded as we went through customs. another stamp in our passports we were welcomed to fiji time where nothing gets done in a hurry. got all our tour sorted and arrived at our hostel which was really nice, chilled by the pool all day and had some really nice food. got up early the next day to start our trip. to see what we did got to www.feejeeexperience.co.uk we did the lei low pass. had lots of fun swimming in rivers, jungle treks and meeting the locals.
after the feejee experience we had a trip to beachcomber island which is supposed to be party central in fiji so we were a bit dubious as we wanted to relax all day. So we got picked up at our nadi hostel and taken to the big boat not really knowing which one to get or where to go had some fellow travelers from the feejee experience with us so that was cool. Got on the boat and set off for the island which was only bout half hour away. Once we arrived you get met by little glass bottom boats which you have to climb in to and they chuck your bags on the roof with nothing to hold them on expecting a big splash we made our way to the island. Once there we checked in to our 80 bed dorm which should give us a whole night of fun. Went for morning tea and then a walk round the island. Took bout 8 minutes so it was pretty small and about 30 seconds to walk through. Went for a little lay down on the beach and took up the task of snorkeling round looking at all the fish and saw a big stingray. By this time it was afternoon tea and we went and fed the turtles where we got to hold them was really cool. Watched the sun set and had dinner and the evening of fun began.Only stayed on beachcomber for then night and then we decided to go to bounty island. If you've watched celebrity love island that is where it was filmed. Got on the boat and arrived in the sun got our own room a private bure 20 feet from the sea with own hammock and ensuite it was luxury and a little friend in the bathroom called george the gecko. Did the usual walk round the island which was a bit bigger and took 25 minutes and a quick snorkel round. Spent the day chilling till the tropical storm came which lasted 2 hours then the sun was out. Had 2 nights on bounty island and the second day we made bangles out of coconuts and then went and found another one and ate it sitting on our porch then we made bowls out of the shell. Storm came at 3 again and didn't go away so went to bed early.Today we went to southsea island which was stunning. Only 6 minutes to walk around it was tiny but far the best. There were lots of day trippers there so it was quite busy. Went snorkeling and went quite far out where all the good bits were and it was great beautiful coral and lots of fish, we found the edge of the reef where the sea floor drops about 3 metres where we got scared as it was all blue and swam back. At around 5 all the day trippers left leaving 4 of us on the island and 3 more arrived. So in total there were 7 guests and all the staff which was quite weird but really good fun as we had our own island. Stayed up chatting all night telling traveling stories. Left in the morning to go back to the mainland and have one more night in nadi before going to Auckland.
