A mini bus journey of about 6 hours round windy mountain roads took us to Vang Vieng. So windy in fact, motion sickness set in a little bit towards the end. Overall it was a pretty uneventful journey bar one detail.
After our driver had been 'throwing' the mini bus round corner after corner for about 5 and a half hours, we pulled over about 30 minutes or so from Vang Vieng. Everyone on the bus assumed this was so the driver could have a wee, however after been gone for a longer time than this would take, we looked out the window to discover the driver crouched down, (no, not doing that!). He was actually (what can only be described as) 'going to town' on a joint! An interesting tactic, maybe he drove better when stoned - who knows?! Despite this he did make it to Vang Vieng without crashing or pulling over for some munchies.

Sheila glad you both still ok and having mad adventures! I am having a very safe weekend in Berlin this weekend - probs too tame for your trips! Nath going to USA has had offers to play "soccor" - I am glad for him but sad for me. miss telling u about my mad family - please both have fun but look after yourselves xx
