Ange greeted me with big smiles and a bunch of flowers upon my arrival into London Heathrow 2 days ago (thanks Ange). On our way to her & Mitch's cute little abode in Islington, Ange briefed me on our intinerary for the following 4 days. Thankfully, no tourist attractions just organized outings to dining and drinking establishments ...no, not for the purpose of eating & drinking but to show me different business ideas that we can perhaps adopt if we start a little business together when she returns back to AUS for good.
On my first night we managed to visit two of the locals...will have to return as my focus was keeping my eyes open rather than checking out the character of these places. I'm blaming the long flight, not the two JW's, for the need to shut eye!
Yesterday, I woke up without a hint of jetlag and Ange, Mitch & I set out on foot to check out the other London delights they had raved about. We walked through beautiful parks (a shade of green not captured in QLD), hugged trees (yes, you'll see the wacky photos later), along dodgy canals (gee, they love to litter over here), and thru Camden markets. We then stopped off and enjoyed a midday beer-garden beverage, proceeded by lunch at La Fromagerie (a cheese shop/cafe/deli rolled into one that serves great vino - super!).
An afternoon 30 min kip back at the Islington pad was a must. I made Ange promise me that we would walk everywhere everyday during our hols...and yesterday was proof that she took me very seriously!
Dinner at an understated, yet ambient, local restaurant called 'House' completed the day. So far, very impressed with A&M's great finds...
