Brisbane

Brisvegas, Brissy, whatever you wanna call it was next in line for a Catmur visit.....

DAY 1:

Hangover from hell.....what a twat! But dragged my sorry arse out of bed to get on the early OZ bus to Brisbane. Self inflicted, mong like state = zero sympathy! 

Couldn't get in our hostel for a few hours so me & Dan did the walk round the city. 3 hours in hot, hot heat and my resemblance to the walking dead meant this walk could have been a bit more enjoyable, but it was still nice to get a good look round Brissy! 

Got back to the hostel & chilled out, made myself look presentable & went out to meet my cousin Sharon & her family for dinner. Haven't seen her for over 15 years so was lovely to meet up & I had a great evening with them. A good get over being destroyed by goon day!

DAY 2:

Had to get up tooooooo early, but CRIKEY!!!!! that was ok as we were off to Australia Zoo! Awesome day at the legendary home of Steve Irwin. Dan sadly wasn't feeling very well, but we still got round everywhere, got our fix of crocs & I fed loads of Kangaroos. I love them. I held a Koala too! So cute!

When we got back from the Zoo, Jane, Logan & Haydn had arrived in Brisbane. We all sat on the roof terrace of our hostel & chatted for a while. Jane & I decided to get dressed & go out. Tried to spruce up & then we went downstairs to the hostel bar. Unfortunately it was as dead as a dodo down there so we ended up just going to the TV lounge & watching films till it was time for bed. Got to just chill with Jane though which was awesome, she's a lovely girl. Turned out they'd be further up the coast at the same time as us again so no goodbyes just yet!

Fairly chilled out time in Brisbane, but we can't burn out every night can we? My liver is pleading with me not to!
