continuing on from the friday 30th may
so after we left the internet cafe we headed to fergburger for lunch! MMMMMMM i had one called sweet bambi which was a deer burger (sorry vegies) with plum sauce. thought i should try it as not had deer before - was really nice but very very messy. we then left feeling seriously full and went for a walk around the gardens before waddling back up the hill to our hostle and chilling out with patrick swayze in DIRTY DANCING! caught up with my written journal (aren't i clever for doing this online one and a written one!) and saw nicola and niamh. had tea later on and then got ready to go out. drank the rest of the box of goon (not a good thing - goon by the way is a box of very very cheap wine) and somehow i seemed to drink most of it before heading to buffalos and meeting up with the rest of the magic crew. a few more drinks and chatting later we headed to the world bar which is famous for its teapots - now these aren't just any teapots these are ones that have cocktails in and u pore your own shots out of it! very cool. so 2 teapots and a lot of dancing and a pizza we headed home at 4 (we think - not sure what time it was!). I would like to take this opportunity to thank laura for being amazing and looking after all my stuff - camera, purse, phone - and most importantly me! i was not in a fit state to find my own way home, lets put it that way!
31st may - got up way to early to catch the bus from queenstown to dunedin. this was a very long bus journey that seemed to last forever, especially as we were feeling a bit delicate and the people behind us on the bus were screaching like banchees! we had to stop to let some get an ambulance as they were really ill ( and no mum it was not because i was hungover) so we made it to our first stop - BACON AND EGG SARNIES ALL ROUND! and then headed onto dunedin. Dunedin is basically the new zealand version of edinburgh with its own castle and a statue to robert burns (the poet for those of u that are a bit unsure), its even got a George Street and a Princes Street as recognition to the edinburgh equivilant! so we arrived checked into the most posh hostel we have ever seen and had a wander around the town - i have currently got the cold from hell so thought that a really hot indian might be the cure. to no avail - its still here! so back to the hostel we went, watched the Brit awards on the tv - yes i know it was held months a go but they're a bit behind over here. then we had tea and watched jerry mcguire. bed time!
