We have been busy since the last message. Sean (Buzz) arrived on the Sunday after Dad & June left; we gave him the local tour (as described previously). On the Monday night after he arrived Sam (my cousin Ran's husband) came to visit with his brother, brother's girlfriend and father, we had a great night together (playing with puppies in the pub next door) then I took everyone to Killkenny the next day where they did the tour of the castle and had lunch. The main thing I have to talk about is our trip to Paris. Sean, Eamon & I left Tullow (and 52 days in a row of rain) for Dublin airport at 3am on Thursday 12th of July. We arrived in Paris at the beginning of a heat wave, 35 deg average which is stinking hot in a city without air-conditioned trains. The first day of touring included the Chateau de Versailles, EiffelTower and Arc de Triomphe. That evening we meet one of Sean's friends, Thomas and his family for Moroccan - a fabulous meal and great company (Thomas is French, he has been living in Melbourne for 10years and has moved back to Paris for 2 years, his Australian wife will be following soon). The Area that we stayed in is very Brunswick st. - so it has lots of funky bars and cafes. We all agreed that we could spend a couple of months just hanging around this area. The next day was Bastille Day - excellent as all the museums were free.We started at Sacre Cour (great view of the city), then Louvre (Mona Lisa), Notre Dame & the Pantheon. On our last day we went to Cimetere du Pere Lachaise - the Cemetery that Jim Morrison, Chopin, Oscar Wilde & Edith Piaf are buried in (among 1 or 2000 other people).I will keep this brief and pass over to Eamon for a run down on Berlin.
