After balloon tying with Mareike in the morning we went and picked up the boys and took a drive to "Bingie" which had a beautiful view of the ocean. We also saw some Australian native animals and I was bitten by a big crab.

We ( being Mareike , Paul , Michael and ((ME)) Andrew ) left the Mount Batten hostel in Sydney and after filling up with fuel saying good bye to my dad in Miranda and then drove to our first stop in Kiama.

Once we arrived in Batemans bay we looked for a place to camp and found Mallonys Beach. A beautiful little corner right on the edge of a lake with a view of Batemans bay on the other side of the water. We set up the tents emptied "Beate" (our overloaded car) and went for a swim 10 meters from our camp. Our first stop was my (Andrew's) home town . A beautiful sea side town named Kiama. We had lunch at the blow hole (a natural rock formation that pushes waves from the ocean through a hole in the rock causing large spurts of water into the air. Then after lunch we took a drive up Saddelback mountain for a 360 degree view of the coast that also over looked where we were heading, "Batemans bay".
