Day at sea
We are now halfway ish through our, very well deserved, rest day at sea. The sun is shining brightly and it is around 32 degrees outside. Gary, David and myself have spent much of the first part of the afternoon in the Sanctuary pool with Barbara relaxing in the shade on a sunbed. We have all enjoyed sipping Mohitos as we swim/relax.
It is the first time in around ten years that Gary has been in a swimming pool and the first time ever he has been in a hot tub!
At first, Gary felt the hot tub/jacuzzi, was so hot that he was unable to get in but, eventually, he manned up and was sitting enjoying the bubbles with David and I.
We are getting ready now to go down to afternoon tea and then, after the trivia, we shall probably have some more drinks at the bar. Barbara loves the days at sea and so do we all.
The itinary on this cruise was the first time David and I have stopped at ports six days in a row. With the heat we have had too.....we also think it was a bit too much in one go but still, all the stops apart from possibly Barcelona, have been very interesting.
Some photos of Barbara's new diamond earrings to go with her new diamond and sapphire ring! I have reassured David that my blue diamond and white diamond ring is enough for me! Gary is now refusing to allow Barbara back into the jewelley store because she has expressed an interest in:- "a nice pendant to go with my earrings and ring!" Gary went a funny green colour when she started suggesting this as an idea. LOL.
The bears are all having a wonderful holiday too. Pew and Little Little have dried out and little little little was not so daft as to go to Pisa in the rain anyway.
Little little went down to Crooners for some cocktails the other night and met the bar guru's Val from the Ukraine and Maria. She is very comfortable mixing with new people as we know.
Tomorrow is our last port of call and we are very excited about it. Gibralter is going to be the closest stop to the equator thar we have had and therefore, potentially, the hottest stop! We have already warned Barbara.....she does not like the heat lol.I am excited because I don't need to faff about with the funny Euro thing any more....Gibraltor uses the pound. yay
!Everyone has perked up a lot with this day at sea, it has been an excellent chance to recharge the batteries and enjoy the ship. After Gibraltor tomorrow we have two more relaxing days at sea before arriving home on Saturday morning. Will update again tomorrow.
