Hey guys, scetchy wifi so has been awhile. In Villar de Mazarife tonight. About 20C something today with gentle hills and fields of plowed fields and big blue sky. We have had phenomenal weather with cold mornings but warm afternoons.
Body is holding up well and life is good. Of course into a routine of up early at about 6 am walking in dark to start with food breaks and the reward at days end is good food and wine.
Didn't tell you before but 3 days after we started to cross the Pyrenees 10 people were rescued off the mountain after a sudden storm with hail so big it shredded their jackets. Also 2 people died with the heat..... One on the mountain and one after. I remember how hot it was that first week with over 30C plus and the humidity on top. I found that first week really hard. But overall we have been really lucky re the weather. No real rain. Yet!
I like this life and see why people walk the Camino again and again. Every day is new and life is simple and we have met so many nice people from all over the globe.
Yesterday I lost a bra and short sleeve t shirt so down to one bra. s***. Oh well.
Great discussions in many languages during the walk and in the evenings.
So, on the home stretch with Santiago in sight. Yahoo!
Love you all. Xxoo
