we arrived in ko samui on the 8th and our first nite greeted us with a room darker than kolo toure himself..its highlights were the two lizards found in the bathroom and the small cockroach that met sedge's sandal with quick affect! after getting out of the hell hole we found another place that had a few more facilities, like the coldest air con on earth which is very nice. we have been there a couple of nites and plan to leave 2mo for a smaller part of Ko Samui.
Today has been one of the best days so far...we have been quad biking on dangerous terrain in the jungle round this awesome track in the middle of nowhere. tricky terrain ws navigated with utmost ragging by sedge especially. we followed that up with elephant trekking, yes thats rite. after a nervous and somewhat shaky start we conquered the mighty beasts and were displaying some fine elephantmanship by the end. following that we felt it wud be rude not to refresh ourselves with a dip in the pool, i mean waterfall. the water ws cool and a pleasure to swim in...so much so that sedge managed to overcome his fear of murky water and the dangerous creatures that may lurk within thanks to a stupendous effort of pride, grit and determination that was reminiscent of a cold september evening with some golfers. anyways following that we were very happy little bunnies and have returned to chaweng beach on ko samui (where yes the weather has been amazing 2day tho joe is still whiteman). been lovely to write to u all but we r very hungry now and cant waffle all day. all that remains to be sed is just to ask urself one question-what did u do 2day?......
ps happy birthday sawday xx
