We leave KL tomorrow having got there on friday 19th jan. on first impressions we thought it was cleaner than bangkok and we quickly found our way to a hostel called the Green Hut which we would def recommend to anyone going there...really friendly place and the staff were very helpful to the three rook jobs who found themselves lost without their beloved lonely planet. we saw the petronas twin towers (tallest twin builidngs in world), the KL menara and got caught in many a massive tropical storm. on saturday the rain ws worse than we have seen at any time thru our trip-6 hours virtually solid. the roads were flooded...so no complaining bout ur bad weather back home. KL is a muslim city so everything is a lot different to Bangkok, very different in the atmosphere and the food etc.
on a couple of the nights bavin found himself a guitar and having finally calmed himself from his excited state of mind he began to regail crowds of thousands with his varied repetoire. the mulitcultural audience were amazed as he led them thru under the bridge, wonderwall and the other 2 songs he could play. however having quickkly been ousted as a fraud he was replaced by a malaysian man who appeared to be a beatles fan. luckily his poor playing was accompanied by ythe delights of joe and sedge's voices, thus saving him from embarrassment.
On our last day in KL we ventured to some of the plazas, one of which has a massive indoor theme park complete with roller coaster(which was unfortunately closed)...the range of electronics was massive in the shops and wer added some ipod speakers 2 our collection of goodies in our backpacks. (no prizes for guessing what band bavin has been playing...answers on a post card please)
The plaza trip was finished with a trip to the biggest bowling alley we have ever seen...despite and early set back with bav and joey winning the first two games stephen "flinstone" sedgley proved triumphant only after insisting we pay for another game as he had not been at his best in his opening two losses. having calmed the little lamb down we went back and got some food. stephen even took a picture of the scoreboard...a winner in every sense of the word.
anyways we move to singapore tomorrow and are there till thursday wen we move to oz. keep in touch. x
