Ah, Koh Tao - the island that Sharan and i didn't want to leave. If the other islands in Thailand were laid back, this one is the most horizontal. Rock up on the ferry from Ko Phangan, get a place, stroll there with backpacks, check in, get to the beach, swim, eat - another great day in paradise.

We decide to move accomodation for a slightly less 'downmarket' room so we go from the View Cliff to stay at the eccentric Mr J's - he has his own philosophy and is willing to share his hilariously crazy ideas with you - he is dead serious about this so try not to laugh...a bit scary actually e.g. if you have casual sex you will be reincarnated as a gay dog?! oh yes. Rooms were nice and he gave us a free drink or two - nice nutter ;O)

Had to crowbar ourselves away from this place, but time was ticking and VISA was due to expire so we catch an overnight ferry to Surat Thani - get a matress about 2 foot wide - spent the night cuddled between a stranger and Sharan - interesting. When we arrive we catch a couple of coaches, then a ferry out of the country to Langkawi, Malaysia.
