we arrived in vietnam and straight away we was in the center of madness. our first stop was siagon or other known as ho chin min the traffic was crazy there was motobikes every were there is no order with the traffic, you have no entry streets which traffic still goes down , 3 lane roads with people driving the opposite way down and the footpath is a express lane, just to cross the road you have to slowly just walk out in front of the traffic and they will just go around you. The city had this amazing buzz about it the rush was great their was night markets every where. we checked into are hostel which was really nice. the following day we went to the war museum and visted the cathedral and art gallery we just took in the city and the madness of it. me and lynsey both fell in love with it.
today we went to the chi chi tunnels the tunnels were made by the veitnese people this was to avoid the americans who were attacking them they built under ground tunnels and hid for 20 years under ground. the tunnels were tiny about 40cm x 40 cm. they have made a tunnel bigger for people today to go down and experience what it was like its not a nice place to be. the people were really clever they had traps set to kill the americans and went back to school boys tricks to beat them of. at the tunnels me and lynsey both fired AK-47s which was funny just watching lynsey shot a gun made me laugh the video will be posted soon.
that night we had tailer made clothes messured up for us i got trouser and a shirt and lynsey got shorts and a cocktail dress.( which she is going to wear with her back pack traveling) :). all this cost around £50 which make primark look expensive.
the following day we went on a tour to the unicorn island, we tried fresh honey which was still on the bees hive and tried snake wine which is made from snake venom this wasnt the nices shoot ive ever had but a shots a shot.
we then went on a boat trip along a canal which was ment to be a nice cruise it ended up being a race for all the locals who row the boat but was great fun. we went to a coconut candy makeing farm and tried the products they made they made so many products from coconut and non of the coconut is wasted the shell is used to make pots, boxes, necklesses all sorts.
that night we went to pick up are clothes with only 2 hours left till we needed to catch a bus. when we got there every thing was perfect apart from my shirt it was massive. i was gutted but the lady said not to worry come back within a hour and it be perfect i was like within a hour, not convinced we went to get some dinner in the restrant we was in there was waitress who was dieing to have a convosation with us. alot of people in vietnam learn english from t.v internet and tourist so any chance to try and speak to you they will try just walking down the road every one will say hello to try inprove their english. after a conversaton lynsey gave the girl here facebook and told here to email her if she needed any help which she was over the moon with. heading back to the tailors after only 40 mins we was shocked to see my shirt was already on the hanger done. it had left the shop gone back to the persons house been adjusted and brought back it fitted well this time and both me and lynsey were so happy with are items. now a 12 hour coach trip to na trang.
