helloooo!!

so its been a while since i last did a blog as after leaving soutg america we went to stay with some of emilys family for 9 days in LA and I decided i would treat it as a break from blogging!

LA was incredible! it was great being in a wonderful home with food, sofas, clean, comfortable beds and a lovely family so it was a very welcome break from travelling! As per the rest of our trip we did everything we could fit in! we went to universal studios, did a stars homes tour, saw the hollywood sign, a lot of shopping (to be sent home) and Vegas!! it was an amazing week that truly blew our travellers budget but it was all worth it!

following LA we flew to Bangkok where we were meant to begin our trip around asia but due to all the problems we flew onto siem reap in cambodia. a friend fron university also had the same plan and 'the small world' sentence was bought out again as we bumped into each other in tge airport!

the first two days were spent recovering from the flight and time difference before heading to angkor wat - sacred temple. it was incredible and upon seeing some of the surrounding temples as well it was like being indiana jones as the temples grew out of the jungle! one of them had been used for tomb raider 3! (LA influence of being impressed by film sets etc obviously still with us!!)

yesterday we got a bus to phnom penh, the capital of cambodia, where today we are doing a tour of the killing fields, museum, royal palace abd russian markets! Tomorrow we head to sihanoukville which is a beach resort!

so far asia has been such a change to south america! for cheaper we stay in nice double rooms and the food is incredible! we've been eating in small places (not restaurants) where the locals pack out and the food is 1 or 2 dollars for some of the best food we've ever had!
