Travelled from Paris to Trier today, through Luxembourg. Arriving here after our hectic Paris pace things seem so calm and quiet. The streets are not clogged and although there are many visitors around, compared to these last few days it's nothing. I love it!
Immediately we noticed many differences from Paris:
- we fit in fashion-wise
- it's less multicultural
- it's way easier to walk or bike and cross the street
- beer is cheaper
- actually, everything is cheaper
- it's super bike friendly here
We managed to pick up our rental bikes and travel by train to our start point. It was so easy to fit everything in our panniers. Tomorrow we will sight see in this Roman town (if we get any sleep - there's a toga party going on in our hostel). We've had to split up into 2 rooms. I'm loving my little monastic room.
