Very sad memorial to the wives of the Maharajas of the fort - when their husbands died they were forced to perform Sati and the wall is covered with rust coloured handprints (you can see them better if the image can be made larger) where they marked their final passage out of the palace. The stone representation was to mark where the area of the wall for them to leave their imprints. Glad it wasn't planned in advance for them or anything....
