Turkish PhD student Gokan had been cycling the Great Divide from New Mexico. He was currently living in Laramie, Wyoming. He wanted a rest from cycling so broke from the trail to head home. I met him as I was 7 miles from the summit of Muddy Pass, Colorado. Unfortunately for Gokan he was heading the other way, upwards. He was missing Turkish food but really enjoying a daily ration of burgers, fries and cola. Great energy food he said.
