we made it into lima safely....never fly iberia!! 12 hour flight cattle in like sheep tv screens down the middle and they only showed two films!! two films in 12 hours!!! no vodka!!..they fed us half an hour before we landed and everyone clapped we we hit the runway...not a good sign!!!
However we are here safe and sound..lima is ok very busy town, still undecided whether the mist we see is smog or clouds...i would like to think smog bt i feel i would be wrong!!... not much to do or see here..we went to Pachacamac we venture out on our own and survived two local buses to get there..they are pre inca ruins and they felt something was out of place..they were in the middle of a desert, however the landscape around them was green! we went to the top of one of the temples that they used as human sarfices and they were voltures there just standing around....considering incas were round how many years ago the voltures still remains..i loved it...they can still smell the blood!!
Even lima is a highly developed area we failed to find a decent drinking hole!! which was very disaapointed there was a golds gym across the road, which i had to go and experience and was look at like i was out of place...i'm not sure why! my pasty skin should have blended in no problem!!
After 3 days of lack of exercise I ventured to the gold's gym, was given very funny looks as I first attempted to ask for a one day pass got looks of what the f***!!! So gave them the piece of paper that Ricardo (hostel manager) gave me "cuanto me costaria 1 dia de gym." They then reluctantly allowed me in, not before asking me for my passport details!! The facilities were pretty gold...I just got stares, not sure why, was sweating along with the rest of them! Maybe it was because of my crystal palace runner top on and they don't like palace! I don't think so maybe it was because I was wearing too many clothes or that fact that I was pasty and tall (well I am over hear, Nic's a giant and has to buy men's shoes!! He he)
