Hello and Welcome to another Addition:

This past weekend was awesome!!! I had so much fun......a group of 18 girls and I went on a surfing trip for the weekend. It all started on Friday night at 5:30 when we were picked up by 2 vans. We then rode to Byron Bay and went to the office of the Byron Bay Surf School. After we paid, we went and had an Australian B-B-Q......it was very good. Then after that we got to check out some of the nightlife in Byron Bay and that we pretty cool. We then proceeded to drive another 40 mins. to a 2 story house which is where I called home for the next two nights.

The next day we woke up bright and early and then started to learn how to surf. We first learned how to balance on the boards and then how to paddle. The paddling was the hardest part because my arms got so tired......but it did help build some muscles in my arms:) After we learned the basics we then proceeded in to the real ocean. It was really different but after a while I caught my first was wave and rode it in to land. After that we finally learned how to stand up on our boards.......I soon found out that this was the hardest part!! But by the end of the day I was able to stand for a brief period of time on my board.

The last was very jam-packed as we got to go the the Quicksilver Pro Surfing Competition. It was really cool to see all the pro surfers and I really wanted to go to this event so it was extra special that we ended up going. I even got to see the 8 time world champion Kelly Slater surf!! I really enjoyed it but the day was not over as we drove back to Byron Bay and got to surf some more.....I didn't know I could do it again because I was really sore from the previous day of intense surfing.....but I did and I even improved from yesterday!! By the end of the day was was actually riding some of the waves in......amazing I know!!!!

Well the weekend was alot of fun......and I managed to pick up a very nice tan from being in the sun for so long......you may not even reconize me......haha.......
