I arrived in Narrogin dec. 23 at 9.25pm. Kerry was waiting for me there, all sleepy in her car. It had been a long day for her and she had to drive 45 min to come and pick me up and another 45 min to go back to Tincurrin.
I got to stay in the backpacker caravan. That was really cool because I had privacy but was close to the house. And I could scatter my mess everywhere in the caravan :)
The next day the first crew arrived. Becka, Kris arrived with Max and Zak. The house started being busy already ! In the afternoon it was Amy and Nahi who arrived with Tarkyn and Peyton and in the evening a couple of Keith's friends joined us. The atmosphere was great, everybody was nice and even though I felt awkward around the kids at first, I really started to like them and enjoy my time around them. And of course it was amazing to be with Kerry and Keith again.
On Chritmas day everybody woke up very early but me. 7am is still too early for me... When I got up at 8 everyone was outside playing with the kids and their new toys. I helped clean up the house from the wrapping paper and we gave out the last presents.
In the afternoon, while I was having a nap, Sally and James (Kris and Amy's cousins) arrived, then their parents. The house was fuller than ever ! I wasn't sure if I could fit in the family as I was the only non member of the family but everyone made me very comfortable and I really had a great time ! Plus most of the crew was my age, which made things easier !
We ate and drunk a lot that day !
On boxing day we basically repeated Christmas minus the presents. In the afternoon we went to the neighbours who have a dam big enough to wakeboard. We spent about 3 hours there, me mainly taking videos and photos of Kris and James on the water. I didn't wakeboard because of my tendonintis...It's still not gone and it's still painful :(
The 27th was a sad day.Sally and James left at 8.30 am.That's when I realised that everyone was leaving that day, including me.I was going to go with them then thought I'd rather wait a little longer, just to enjoy another couple of hours with Kerry and Keith. So I left with Sally and James' parents around 10.30am. Kris and Becka decided to stay another day as Amy and Nahi were coming back.I hated being back in Perth just because I had such an amazing time in Tincurrin. I felt like l was part of the family. And no one screamed or shouted or cried.Which I'm not too used too on Christmas day...
My hostel in Perth was ok. But because I was only staying a night I didn't bother trying to make friends. My bus to Margaret River was at 9am the next day so I really was there only to spend the night. Wishing I was in Tincurrin over Christmas again....
