Ecuador Amazon Jungle: Leaf cutter ants and millipede
There were ants everywhere. The leaf cutter ants were the easiest to spot with the leaves being carried along the trail. The other common ant is the bullet ant - the bite is very painful, and apparently feels like a bullet, hence its name. Andrea, our guide, picked up a millipede to show us, but it would not stay still, and so Andrea let it run from hand to hand as she described the millipede's characteristics
