Getting back to Thailand was easier than it sounds. A 4 hour bus, 5 minute boat across the border and another bus for about 2 hours to Chiang Rai. Chiang Rai itself hasn't really impressed me. We're staying in a pretty horrible place which is quite a walk out of town. The night market is impressive though and we may have bought a few things! This is the life. I'm currently on a sunlounger on a beautiful, sunny beach, where the sea is so calm that there aren't any waves, with my gorgeous boyfriend and a beer. These moments may not be the ones you'll tell stories about throughout your life-like you will about the Great Wall, scuba diving on the Barrier Reef, the full moon party or hiking a glacier in New Zealand but in your own mind they'll definitely be up there and possibly easier to imagine. So paradise has been left behind and I am currently writing this en route to the East coast to get to Ko Samui island. To fill in the gaps from my brief post last time though. The snorkelling we did on the boat trip was unreal. Beautifully coloured fish around the coral, even fish like angelfish.
