The very last thing we did in Siem Reap was to visit a war museum. Our guide was nicknamed "the cat" because he has survived two heart failures, shots from an AK-47 and an RPG as well as stepping on various land mines. He is blind on his left eye, he has land mine shrapnel in his knee and a prosthetic leg, and yet he still greeted us with a smile.
