In Cambodian traffic there is a major disregard for traffic rules represented as such by signs: stop, forbidden to make u-turns and the like... The cars, motorbikes, tuks tuks and bikes drive closely together like a huge stream, not leaving an inch of open space to someone else to take. In intersections, noone rarely waits for someone else's turn - both sides cross at the same time. Yet, somehow, it seems to be working! Like some unwritten contract signed by every Cambodian (and a nightmare to a tourist who dares attempting to drive). In this picture it is rush hour on my way back from work (Linda gets a tuk tuk to work everyday and Tobias rides as a passenger on a motorbike), as well as a good example of disregarding the rules (forbidden u-turn), not to mention the RAINING SEASON which makes the roads flood in an instant. They're used to it though, rain ponchos go a long way!
