Happy Valentine's Day Allison!! We love you. Claire made Dad and I pancakes and got us cards. We are waiting for a card from you and Ben....We better not hold our breath. ARe you going to post the journal entries yourself instead of sending them to Claire??? Just to keep everyone else posted, Allison did cross the equator today at noon while we were shoveling snow and Ben had no classes at Ithaca because of 18 inches of snow!!! Who is jealous?? Couple more days till you are in Brazil and participating in the party of your life...Carnival..be careful and always stay with someone. How are the classes going. Haley's mom said she got to tell Desmond she was born in South Africa, but did not have a conversation with him yet. Dad says you are only eating fruit and rolls. What else is there to eat that you are not eating? We love you.

Hi everyone who is wondering why Allison is not keeping us updated with her journal entries. She called us from Puerto Rico twice to tell us what a wonderful trip she is having so far and that her computer is not connecting with the network. I will update you now. She said Puerto Rico is less industrialized than Nassau and it is more humid. Her tan is coming along nicely. She went into a rainforest and nighttime kayacking. The fish glowed in the water at night. How cool!!! Only 4 spots in the world with this characteristic! One morning she passes Desmund Tutu and exchanged pleasantries as he read her "Happy Valley" T-shirt, from Liz Ellis.She says the rooms are small but she is getting along well with her roommate who actually lives in Cortland, N. Y. Also she met a boy from Univ of Texas who moved into a new house only 1 mile from our house in D-town. I hope she doesn't get too sick on the next 6 day voyage to Salvadore,Brazil. It was only a two day voyage from the Bahamas to Puerto Rico. She says she is not missing the snow from Ithaca, but thinks of her friends and wishes them a good semester, like she is finally having. It was two weeks later than Ithaca till her spring semester started. By the way, she does have classes on Saturdays and Sundays so she can get all the classes in so they do not have any classes while in ports.

ALLY SWINK!!!! I MISS YOU SO MUCH...i hope you have a safe, yet fun, trip. i'll keep you posted on the activities at IC that will take place in your absence. your brothers team lost yesterday and today :( but ben played very well. we threw a surprise party for ally's birthday, and icfh played pick up on saturday. lax is going well, we find out if we made it on thursday. i think that is about it for now, but i will keep you posted as things happen :-) I LOVE YOU have soo much funn!!!
