We planned to wake up early.. Sam even set his alarm for 9.30am, but forgot to turn the volume up! So we actually woke up at 10am and just about managed to check out by 12 midday.
We took a stroll through the market near time square; Isha managed to haggle a for an umbrella, saving about 20p haha.
Met Ron at the exit to the mtr, and headed to mi-ne sushi.. Quite a nice place and filled up for lunch. Particularly enjoyed how all the staff, inc the chef, shouted hi and goodbye in japanese as people arrived and left. Good atmosphere. Another treat from Ronald before we part ways for our next stop.
After a few attempts over the last couple of days we eventually took the mtr back down to Lan Kwai fung and visited the Michelin star restaurant to buy some 1000 year old eggs for Jens parents, apparently their favourites.
Next we found the mid level escalator, which took us from central to the soho area.. Lots of bars and tourists, including quite a few British themed places. Incredibly hot now, and all the hills in this area are tiring!
So we walk to Sheung wan station, which happens to be closed today due to the Engineering works for the new line to Aberdeen. Fortunately we took sanctuary in the air conditioned shuttle bus they provided to admiralty station, an eventually back to causeway bay!
Bubble tea cravings kicked in, and after buying some foot cooling gel from a pharmacy we hunted for bubble tea. This was definitely worth the effort!
After picking up our bags from the hostel, we jumped on the A11 back to the airport. Singapore here we come!
Arrived at the airport in good time but at the wrong terminal. Made it to terminal 2, checked in, and decided to use up our HK dollars in a Japanese restaurant. So much so that we found ourselves running late to board the plane. With 2 trains just to get to the gate, Sam and Isha were worrying, but I was pretty sure we would make it in time.
Turns out I was right, plane is delayed and were sat waiting at the gate.. Typical budget airline!
