Although it is not yet the end of our travels we have decided to end this journal. We are together with our friend Rerk at Hua Hin for three days then we head home via KL. We are both a little weary of travel. What are our impressions? Burma: Overpriced. If you have been to the other, greater, attractions of SE Asia then Burma is probably not worth the visit. Good to have visited at the present time of rapid change which will make following the future development...

It seems that our initial impressions of CM were too favourable. It really is the most boring place. There seem to be two tourist markets here: The young backpacker scene with troops of young backpackers hanging out together eating "all day breakfasts" and passing on tips about awesome-like adventures. As a change from Asian food we had a very nice pizza for dinner last night and afterward a stroll down to the famous night market. Wall to wall shuffling crowds and stalls selling lots of tat so we only walked one block before retreating. This morning we started with a tour of the Lanna folk museum.
