Ashley's Travels
Buenos Aires, Argentina
Hi everyone!
I thought this would be a great way to let everyone know what is going on down here in Argentina. I hope you enjoy it.
I have been in Buenos Aires for about three weeks and it feels like it's been about 6. The orientation is almost over (thank god) so soon I will be settled in to some sort of routine i hope...
So far I have done a decent amount of shopping (thanks to the amazing exchange rate) and gotten to know the public transportation system which was a little daunting at first. The bus system is enormous and verrrrry confusing! There are about 150 different bus routes, and about 5 subte lines (subway). The first few days after I moved in with my host family, I got lost a little bit everyday! It's better now, though.
The picture about is Avenida 9 de Julio, which is, I think, the widest street in the world. It has 12 lanes of traffic, and it's pretty busy most of the time.
This weekend I'm going with a couple of friends to Colonia, Uruguay, which is, amazingly only an hour away by speed boat. I'm really excited to get another stamp in my passport =)
