hello everybody, sorry it has been another while since we have written anything we have been extremely busy and plus the internet connections have been awful the last month until now.

thank u all so much for writing on the message board it is really cool to read them so please keep writing even if it takes a while to hear from us we will try our best here in oz because we love reading what u write.

we arrived in cairns safely on tuesday morning, the weather is great sunny and 30c but for the first day we found it a bit chilly i guess still winding down from the incredible humidity of indonesia.

we have had an amazing time up until now and hope this will be just as good, thailand was amazing, malasyia was great, there was a massive night out in KL you have to hear about sometime it was awsome, just me ash and the other lad we met who was a legend, AD i know ur reading this haha.

indonesia for me (alex) is by far the best place ive ever been ever and i know ash loved it to im sure he'll tell u how much soon.

we arrived in jakarta to a huuuuge storm which was cool to watch from the hotel window and we moved straight away the next day to pandangaran which was our indonesian guides hometown. the accommodation was really nice with a pool and a 3min walk from the beach. it was a really laid back place and here we tried surfing not that either of us were very good but we enjoyed it and looked very cool as u can see from the pics! we went on a nature walk where we saw scorpions, deers, monkeys, fed other monkeys, porcupines, bats and flying squirrels it was amazing!

we then moved on to yoghyakarta where agian the accomm was nice with a pool. this time away from the beach but still cool. here we saw the sultans palace, the water temple and the government batik gallery. batik is really cool pics handmade with wax and stuff and i felt a celebrity when i wacked my 1.4million worth of purchases on my visa. haha the money is crazy out here. we also went to a bird market which obviously had loads of birds but also had some depressing bits like kittens and puppies and rabbits that wernt well looked after.

there was also another night out to a club here with the 3 lads, the norweigen girl from the surfboard and the guide. he was hilarious dancing in the club haha was well funny then after at 3am we took him for his FIRST EVER macdonalds!!!!!

then we moved again to samilina or somewhere like that for a night in a tiny guesthouse whihc was actually someones house, next day went on a guided walk of the rice terraces saw some cool wildlife and some excuse my french f*** off big spiders. sorry mum.

then on to mount bromo where we just got there chilled and slept for 5hrs and got up at 3am to go and watch the sunrise from a viewpoint over looking the volcano. there was a bit of a hike and we have some of the best pics ever we will try and get them up shortly although this ozzy internet is being gay too!

after sunrise we again hiked a bit more this time up the actual volcano and that was amazing.

then we moved on to bali and our guide got charged 100,000 when we were crossing into bali, cooruption is big out here, we also saw gangs collecting money to use roads etc in jakarta.

our first stop was lovina. this was a quality little town where we were only people on beach, lovely accommodation again with pool. here we chilled a bit, ash and ad went on a bike ride and swimming with dolphins one day, check this tho ash got bit haha, by the freindliest animal on the earth he still hasnt told me what he did to piss it off. im sure he will tell u next time he writes. in the mean time i went scuba diving off lovina beach and it was the best thing ever. we went down 10 meters and for a first time in was incredible, first dive we swam around a shipwreck then the second dive we swam through and around it, saw sting wrays and tons of fish was just wicked and was only 25quid! although dude cudnt really talk english he just pointed lots.

in lovina also had a couple nites in the reggae bar which was cool played pool and met some really random dudes there also pics but god knows when they will be on here but u have to see them even if its not until were back.

after lovina we went to ubud where again we were amazed at the accommodation really nice and with a pool. here we had a chilling day and then got really depressed when we had to say goodbye to ad. he headed back home to work and even tho its hard to admit me and ash both had lumps in our throat which suprised us and we moped for the rest of the day.

the last nite of trip was good fun tho in small local bar with some local arak which took our faces off, was good send off.
