Hey hey hey all!! We have been in Germany this weekend (me and Jon) having a bit of a boys weekend away. We flew into Lubeck airport on Friday night and went straight to our hotel. Lubeck is on the north coast of Germany, and is such a nice little town (see photos). It has old church spires and canals and just a nice place to hang out. We went to a really cool club on the canal on a boat on the Friday night which had some really cheesy music but it was good fun! Saturday we headed on the train into Hamburg. Hamburg is a big city, and the architecture there is something else. We went for a wander the Saturday then went home for a nap before Saturday night. The nightlife is quite crazy in Hamburg and we stayed out till about 4am. Eventually we went back to a little bar on the main harbour and had a few quiet wheat beers! Sunday was a good day, went for a walk around Hamburg taking in the sights. Went for brekky at a little cafe on the canal and met a guy that worked there who was from Eltham. Turns out he went to Eltham College, and his best mate back home (Tim from IGA Research) used to live in my house. He knew exactly where I lived. So damn bloody random, I was in shock! Then we got the train back to Lubeck, had a few beers and headed to the airport. All in all a good weekend had! Oktoberfest next week so no doubt I'll have some stories for you then :-D
