We had decided on a short trip from Cann River to Orbost while we waited for the last of the Easter rush to move out of Lakes Entrance. We met a couple at Orbost that had just come from there that day and they said the amount of people there was unreal! So we decided to extend our stay at Orbost. Cann River sits at the southern end of the Monaro highway where it meets the Princess highway which runs from the East Gippsland area back into Melbourne. Once in the town we set ourselves up in the only van park in town. It is large with very basic style amenities but within easy walking distance to the pub where you pay your fees. Very convenient.
