To us this was our final day of travelling. From tomorrow onwards
everything we are doing is just to get back to england as we have 2 bus
journeys and a flight.
We woke up pretty early as we were heading over to Argentina to see
that side of Iguazzu falls. The bus picked us up at 8am, with a very
funny driver who would let the chicas (girls) do absolutely everything
they wanted but the chicos (boys) couldnt do anything. He was only
joking with us but it just summed up how all the men are in South
america. We stopped on the way to the borders of Brazil and Argentina
and you could also see paraguay and grabbed a few photos. The
Argentinian side of the falls are completely different to the
brazillian side. You get up close to the falls, get wet and it is
amazing. This place would rival anywhere in the world for beauty, it
just takes your breath away. There were 4 different trails through the
jungle to see the falls and each one took you to a different part and
gave you completely different views.
We took a boat over to this island and were walking through the
rainforest when mike steps on a massive twig sending it flying across
the path. I think its a snake and completely freak out and run away. I
shouted to him to ask what it was and when he replies ^its a stick^ I
hear snake and freak out even more. It would have made such a good
comedy show. It was only a bloody stick!!! It really didnt help when
later on our way to the devils throat (this massive waterfall) there
are signs to warn you about snakes and mike shouts to me that ones just
landed on my bag. I freak and he pisses himself laughing and says he
meant a butterfly and not a snake. Oh dear I really need to get over
this one!
The waterfalls really have been a highlight of this trip. They are
stunning and for me could probably rival macchu picchu. It was
definately a great way to end this trip. Im not going to write about
our last 2 days. There really isnt much point. We have to get 2 buses,
and a flight which will take us back to london. Im gutted. I cant
believe its over and want to stay for ever.
