Met in the hotel lobby at 6.40, where a luggage taxi was waiting to take our luggage to the pier. We then made our way to the water taxi dock in order to get the 7.00am taxi to Belize city. It took us an hour to each Belize city, and from the quay we took a taxi to the bus station. We then hopped on board a bus bound for Mexico, stopping only for the border crossing, then we got back on for 3 hours in total, taking us to Chetumal. From there we took another taxi to another bus station, in order to take our final mode of transport, a 5 hour bus ride to Playa Del Carmen, reaching our destination at around 5.30pm
Having checked in, we all had around 2 hours to get settled in before meeting at 7.00pm to go for dinner at a local restaurant.
