so...to carry on about aus.
after the whitsundays we spent 3 beautiful days in magnetic island which was just the stereotype of a deserty island. i actually tied up my hammock and fell asleep swinging in the shade. naomi and i went snorkelling and i spent a happy afternoon chasing a stingray around florence bay. there was also a full moon party though it was a new moon, and the party wasnt exactly on the beach... still...
we went to undarra which was the closest to the outback we were likely to get to. i actually found this to be one of my favourite places in aus, it was so amazing to lioght a campfire and spend so long sat around it drinking wine asnd toasting marshmallows that a wallaby came and sat with us for a while. we went on a wildlife walk also and saw a 5 ft carpet python which the guide came back to our van with to scare anna. thinking about it it probably wasnt big or clever to do that...
our last stop was cairns where we gathered ourselves together for asia and went to kuranda, one of my favourite places in aus. its so hippie! the little craft shops and rainforests, my dream place, theres such a sense of community here too. we also went to cape tribulation where naomi and i learnty to kayak surf and where it rained a lot! we also went jungle surfing which was all done on zip wires through the canopy and really fun. i have absolutely lioved australia as i knew i would, and loved having the van, theres such a sense of freedojm that way, we managed to see so much we never could with a tour. so far asia has been a complete shock to the senses but run out of credit so thats for another email!
love you!
