Tucumcari, New Mexico
Today was mostly a travel day. We saw a few interesting things along the way. We passed cadillacs buried in the ground nose first. Angela thought that was really weird.
We also passed a few cow and wind farms. We all thought the wind farms were cool looking. There's quite a few of these flat plateaus, mesas I believe they're called, that Angela and I are seeing for the first time. The geography is quite stunning.
When we got to the campsite, we had some time so we went to the Mesalands Dinosaur Museum. It's attached to local college here. There was a professor their talking to us and was explaining that one of the rock segments that we are able to see on the side of a mesa next to our campsite represent the Triassic and Jurassic periods. It's so fascinating seeing layers of rock and sediment that settled 190 million years ago.
