Well back again 12hrs later to try again for the flight to Darwin. I've missed out on a day in Darwin but that's a pretty limited impact, especially compared with some of my fellow passenger's tales, involving kids, & island planes.

Flight cancelled for 16 hours. We have to go back to Singapore and come back tomorrow to try it again. Not great.

It's 22.23 in Singapore, and the flight is delayed. Not sure if that's our plane. Australia here I come.

Well this afternoon has been spent waiting for the torrential rain to stop. Not quite what I planned for the last afternoon in Singapore, but that's travelling for you. Next stop Australia & Darwin

Today I was taken on an explore of the island, west to Labrador, north to my friend's niece's home, who was taking me around, then to the new marina barrage and a close view of the extraordinary building in the picture. Lunch was my first taste of Peranakan cuisine. Supper was great Dim Sum with the nephew and family of another friend. It's great to make these connections. Tomorrow night I fly to Darwin.
