Savanah.

Today was another driving day with little to report. After 6 hours driving we arrived in a town called Savannah which is in Georgia. This town was recommended to us by the tourist info officer we talked to in Washington and, true to his word it was a very pretty town with a lovely waterfront by a variety of old and new building as well as a tall ship. We spent a little time driving around looking at the area and even managed to find a post box so we could send off the post cards we had been carrying around since New York!! Unfortunately it was then time to move on and find a rest stop for the night. We found one at about 11pm and started to get ready for bed, but it was far too hot and muggy to fall asleep so after several attempts to find some way to aerate the car we gave up and drove on a bit further, finally stopping just over the state border in Florida about 1am when the air was a bit cooler.
