Just thought I'd give you a shout and tell you what's been happening. I'm now working on Time Team Live - digging up the Queen's back garden over the August bank holiday weekend. Cool little job, good money, plus I get to move into London (finally).
It's sunny! Woo! Bring on the drought!
Dunno how long it'll last but it's looking good from here.

Me again. I'm in Louang Phabang, Laos. Going to try to get into northern Thailand tomorrow by boat up the Mekong. Just come from Vang Vieng where we got to float down the river on tractor tyre inner tubes and stop off at riverside bars for drinks and rope swings! Unfortunately I don't have any photos to make you all jealous, but just imagine 100s of travellers floating down the river and swinging off 50 foot rope swings. Got to move quickly now or we'll have no time in the southern islands of Thailand... such a hard life. Try n take it easy. Andy xxxx

Hello. I'm currently half way up Vietnam in an old town called Hoi An. Haven't been able to see much of it mind, it's been raining non-stop. Loads of cheap tailors here, but we don't have enough time to get fitted for suits. Rather spend my money on experiences (beer) anyway. Will be heading to Hue tomorrow afternoon where there's an imperial palace based on the Chinese palace in Beijing. Will get some photos and upload them asap. Hope everybodys enjoying the weather (saw some of the cricket at Lords). Take care.

Hi everybody, I'm in Pnom Penh, Cambodia now. Just been to see the killing fields, very disturbing. Basically there were a load of dug up pits with signs saying what they found there (women and children, naked bodies, etc.) and a central monument which is a tall building with glass walls and glass shelves full of skulls - very surreal.
Came to Pnom Penh from Siem Reap where we went to see Angkor Wat which is amazing and also quite scary due to the steep steps you have to literally climb up to get to the top. There are loads of other temples there too with golden trees growing on top of the ruins, it was like something out of Indiana Jones.
We are heading to Ho Chi Minh city, Vietnam (formerly Saigon) tomorrow.
Will update my photos soon, having a bit of trouble with the computers out here (like power cuts).

P.P.P.S Miles is still doing his G.C.S.E'S unlucky William said "he would like to take up kite surfing" at present he uses a land kite on wheels and board. We saw the huge liner at 16000 tones called The freedom of the seas. The biggest Cruies liner in the world can take 47000 passagers we also saw the QE 2 today and have booked you and your friends a return trip home at the end of your travels Providing you have not collected any girlfriends in your travels. Please get the rest of your body suntanned apart from your arms hahahahahahaha.

Jacqui Rosie and William had lunch with me today and we all went down to Lee to have an ice cream and watch kite surfers tonight we are going to Rosies and Burts for a barbque. Hi everybody, thanks for your messages. Sos I haven't been on here very often. I'm gonna stop with the e-mails and just use this site instead.
I know it must look like we're just having a lads holiday and getting drunk, but the pics are misleading... honest. We've been travelling around quite a bit and we're currently chilling on Ko Samet, an island about 200km south of Bangkok.

Dad: I think the pics upload at a lower quality so that they are only the size of a regular photo on the screen once you've clicked on them. I'm going to store the full photos on my memory cards anyway.

Mum: The elephant didn't look happy cos it is probably played with all day by those kids, but they were feeding it.

Ross: No they weren't ladyboys (shims), but they were hos.

Sarah: Why would I cut it, I've almost got a pony tail! Starting to grow the beard aswell!

Lovely pictures - did the baby elephant seem sad. Were they using elephants like work horses? Hope all is going well for you Pre and James. Where are you now? Off on a bike ride today with William. Garden is looking good - all that mushroom compost you helped to put on is working well. Should have some home grown potatoes for you when you come home. Thinking of you -keep in touch -Love MUM xxx

Thanks for the message and photos. The weather does not look brilliant but it is probably better for you cloudy. We hope that you recover from jetlag and get back to normal very quickly.
