Day 3 Luang Prabang. Staying at the Villa Chitdara. Another day, another country. Today we moved onto Laos, Luang Prabang. We had an early morning pick up for transfer to Hanoi airport. Day 2 Arrive in Haoi. Arrived safely at Ba Noi airport (Hanoi) and after a long queue for our 'visa on arrival' we were soon out of the airport and picked up by our guide, Long (that's his name). We soon had our experience of Vietnam traffic as a car slammed into the back of us after about 5 minutes in the car! Thankfully no one was hurt. Day 0/1 Leaving the UK Arrived at the airport, with hours to spare...as always. Checked in and secured our empty seat upgrade OK. Purchased several gallons of water to last our 12 hour flight and now 'killing time' before boarding. We arrive at midnight your time, 6 am local time. Day 0 Leaving home. All going to plan, but then we haven't left the UK yet! All train connections on time so an incident free beginning. (Thanks for the lift to the station. John). Now watching 'Pointless' in our Travelodge room, about to walk to 'Ye Olde Six Bells' for dinner. Can't wait to get to Vietnam, if for no reason other than 'its blooming freezing here in the UK'. I thought I would post a blog entry, as a dry run, to see if you get notified of my posting. I've posted a photo taken on my mobile and updated the blog using mums tablet to test I can do all I need without taking my laptop with me. The picture?
