We left Paris today and guess what it wasn't raining! :/ silly Parisian weather! We had to get up mega early as our train was at 7.05 so we had to get up at 5.30 which was un-pleasant and was made even worse by the fact that we could by go buy breakfast!! So it was nutella for me and Sophie starved :P it did take us a while to eat such a sumptuous meal and had to make a little bit of a dash to the train luckily it was only a couple of stops on the subway. Much to my delight it was a high speed eeeeeheeee :D but a very busy one this time which wasn't as fun as I couldn't act like a total infant :P and for some reason it did the entire trip with nearly EVERYONE FACING THE WRONG WAY!!!! which seems like a major flaw to me but then I'm not French so who an I to judge! The train got us into Frankfurt half an hour late which was lucky cause it meant that we didn't have to run for our second train as it has already left. Did the run to customer services in GERMAN and got told we could just walk onto the train. I think they treat those trains as we do the ones from town to whitecraigs so u just kinda get on and wait for your stop but it's hardly the same cause Frankfurt to Berlin is 4 hours so we decided to reserve a seat for 4€ each but had to wait for 3 hours ;P so we first went to this little pastry joint and got a SUPER chocolatey croissant thing which we shared while playing cards and getting pestered by people asking for a fag or "I need a euro for a ticket" like hell who plans so poorly he forgets ticket money :/ once I got nervous enough that a homeless dude might eat my light bag we lugged our stuff further into the train station and continued cards which I was DOMINATING and while on the trip to the bathroom,not due to excitement at winning cards you understand, I saw a ice cream stand something like Hagen das so we migrated to there from our wee bar stool much to Sophie's elation :P I got cookies and cream and Sophie got Belgian chocolate which was wayyyy to chocolately for me :P then we got caught by the owner of the place to fill out a survey so we both did one and got 50% off another ice cream woot :P then we played more cards and Sophie won a couple of them till we had to get the train :D it was a mega busy train so all we could rly do is read but don't worry it was high speed :D yay got some nice scenery in on the way to Berlin which was cool :D mind you as we got closer to Berlin it started to look more what we would expect Berlin to look like instead of tonnes of nice fields etc it was concrete an vandalism :P but most cities have train stations vandalised to buttery. It didn't help that we got into Berlin at like half 8/9 so it was already dark when we had to blunder about trying to find the nice hotel/hostel we booked, which we found eventually thanks to google maps :D and it was kushty! Massive room well height wise anyway it wasn't that big Sideways lmao but a nice shower and bed albeit with odd pillows longer and thinner than we're used to :P so folded up they made ur normal pillow :P after we got all settled down we decided to head out for dinner and found a nice wee sushi bar which we grabbed some munch in then headed bk to the from for some sleep :P
